These three easy low fat recipes that I will share with you today will help to break your fast from the night before as well help you to reduce the chubby belly.   A simple way to think of this is that you are always looking to reduce the sugar content in your diet and increase the carbohydrate intake. The carbs help burn fat and also helps to increase your energy.

Many people believe that low fat recipes are synonymous with bland tasting foods.  This could not be further from the truth.  Each one of the breakfast concoctions below are not only great tasting but they are quite healthy.

Breakfast Burrito

1 Tbsp. butter
8 whole eggs
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/2 lb. breakfast sausage
1/2 cup Jack cheese or packaged shredded Mexican blend
4Tbsp. La Victoria Salsa Suprema Mild, drained well
4 Food for Life Ezekiel 4.9 Sprouted Grain Tortillas
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.  Crumble the sausage into a medium skillet and cook until brown.  Make sure you break the sausage up.  In a separate container mix the eggs with the half and half and season to your personal taste.  At the completed egg mixture to the pan and scramble.  When the eggs are almost done add the cheese.  As soon as the cheese melts add the drained salsa and stir the ingredients until they are combined well.

Breakfast Burrito

1/2 cup Quaker Instant Oatmeal Original
1 packet of stevia
1 Tbsp. Nature’s Hollow Sugar Free Apricot Preserves
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 Tbsp. chopped pecans

1. Prepare the oats with water according to package instructions.  Put the cooked oatmeal in a bowl; sweeten with stevia to taste and mix in the apricot preserves.  Sprinkle with cinnamon and pecans.

Lox Bagel

4 organic bakery multigrain bagels
8 Tbsp. Kraft Phildelphia Cream Cheese softened
4 Tbsp. diced red onion
2 Tbsp. capers, drained
1 Tbsp. Lawry’s Lemon Pepper, or Mrs. Dash Original Bend
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
16 oz. smoked salmon
4 tsp. sour cream
8 sprigs fresh dill

1. Toast the bagels and lay them out open-faced.

2. Mix the cream cheese with diced onions, capers, seasonings, and lemon juice.  Reserve a few capers for garnish.

3. Spread each bagel side with 1 Tbsp. cream-cheese mixture; top with 2 ounces of salmon.

4. Garnish each with 1/2 tsp. of sour cream, as well as some fresh dill and reserved capers.

5. Serve 2 halves per person.
